Lusto is a national specialist museum of forest culture and focuses on Finnish forest culture and illustrates the interaction between man and the forest from the past to the future. Lusto collects and preserves material related to forestry and wood production, the multiple use of forests, and forest culture in general. Lusto has the main responsibility as an expert in the field for collecting and preserving the heritage related to forest culture in the whole of Finland. Lusto is situated in the rural district of Punkaharju in south-eastern Finland.
