Our Mission Reduce infant mortality and improve health and living conditions in low-income countries, by accelerating availability of new, affordable, life-saving vaccines to eliminate neglected infectious diseases and by training local health workers, thereby contributing to the fight against poverty. The Fondazione Achille Sclavo, the only Foundation with this Mission in Europe, is a philanthropic, fully tax-exempt, non-profit organization carrying out scientific research in support of the underprivileged. Its aim is to provide new, effective vaccines, currently unavailable at sustainable prices, to disadvantaged populations in developing countries burdened by endemic infectious diseases and poverty, also training those health professionals devoted to immunizations.
