HALO for Families was founded by Dr. Chanda Nicole Holsey, Maternal Child Health Specialist. It is a public health organization where the ultimate goal is to provide parents and caregivers with relevant and effective high quality tools to increase the confidence necessary to nurture, teach, and model healthy physical, mental, and social behaviors in children. HALO for Families has published resources and children’s books and conducted trainings or provided research lectures in such areas as pediatric asthma education and research, asthma and allergy disease, health disparities, public health evaluation, and military separations in US families, and children’s recreational and asthma camp programs.
