Created in 1993, the Westbury Business Improvement District provides marketing support and other improvements to the business community within the Village of Westbury. As the continuing revitalization of the downtown area continues ( now with the help of a 10 million dollar NY State Downtown Revitalization Grant ) the Westbury BID is recommitting itself to continuing to assist local businesses in flourishing through the various programs available from the BID. Aside from a successful sign grant and facade improvement program, the newly reconstructed website will offer businesses within the BID to update their own listings in the new business directory as well as apply for programs via the website to cut down on time and paper. A robust social media presence launched in September 2017 will also enhance the bolder online status of the BID going into its 25th anniversary.
