NExS Software, LLC is a web services startup that is building a cloud-based platform from a proprietary spreadsheet computation engine exclusively licensed from NC State University. Our technology will allow secure and scalable cloud applications to be built and deployed from spreadsheet models with no programming required. Our first offering will allow customers to convert their existing Excel spreadsheets into web apps such as online calculators, “smart” data collection forms, and management dashboards. Future enhancements will allow the connection of cloud-based data sources to NExS applications for real-time monitoring and control applications, such as IoT. Imagine monitoring and controlling an assembly line or a building’s energy system from a console designed with Excel and deployed with NExS.
