Created in 1951, the Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, headquartered in Warsaw - Ursynów is a major research center in the country in their respective disciplines and acts as reference center for clinical-diagnostic. The Institute in diagnostic, therapeutic, scientific, organizational and teaching through various forms of scientific education, specialized and continuing training. Within their areas the Institute is an advisory body, and in some cases also the executive of the Ministry of Health. The mission of the Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion is to provide highly specialized health services and scientific research and development work for the progress of science in the field of hematology, transfusion medicine and related disciplines taking care of friendly and safe conditions of stay of patients and the working staff of the Institute.
