Krislam began her career in 2011 at the Hypothesis Group as the Lead Designer, transforming quantitative and qualitative reports through creative data visualization and imaginative infographic design. Her previous roles include Senior Graphic Designer of Internal Communications at TechStyle OS (formerly JustFab) and Creative Manager at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. At the end of 2017, Krislam set out on a journey as an independent Freelancer working with diverse clients in Greater Los Angeles. During this time, she scaled her brush lettering workshops and became an instructor for NBC’s Bluprint and featured in Bravo's Top Chef Season 16. In addition to being a freelancer, Krislam leveraged her experience of presentation design with aspirations of becoming a teacher and created the booklet and workshop, "powerpoint is not the enemy." As a lover of community building, Krislam has also tapped into her local community by volunteering for design events. She has served the role of Chapter Lead for TypeThursday Los Angeles partnering with Art Center HMCT and AIGA: Los Angeles. She has also hosted and moderated Inside the Minds of Brilliant Designers partnering with General Assembly. When she's not working, Krislam spends time with her husband Jay Josue (who is also a designer) frequently making french fries with their air fryer. Krislam is obsessed with her Boston Terrier and Pug — Alfred and Geoffrey. (Extra points if you know the origin of their names. Hint: Butlers) Her educational background includes an Associate of Arts in Graphic Design and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. She is currently attending USC to earn her Master's in Integrated Design Business and Technology. Krislam is currently an Art Director at Collier.Simon, a creative agency in Los Angeles.
