Bruin Hedge Fund (BHF), UCLA’s principal investment and finance organization, prepares its members for careers in finance through its dedicated real-money investment fund diversified across a variety of industries. BHF focuses on augmenting short-run hedging with long market positions and aims to educate recruits on the ways in which various asset choices influence a portfolio. BHF offers its members investment presentations, case studies, mentorship, networking and other professional development opportunities. From the technical aspects of financial modeling to the soft-skills required for a career in financial services, BHF provides members the opportunity to develop skills necessary for a career on Wall Street. Every year members go on to work in industries such as investment banking, consulting, private equity, and quantitative trading at firms such as Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Evercore, Credit Suisse, McKinsey, Bain, Oaktree, Citadel and more.
