Who We Are New Hope for Life was established in 2010 to assist Congolese refugees and migrants who had fled Violent conflict between ethnic groups for decades with their integration into UK society. Today, our community has grown to over 2,000 people across South East London who have come from all over the world. We help these people, our friends, by providing services including community Supplementary Schools for children; housing, employment and careers support for whose English is their second language. We also provide free English classes, mental health support and help people to navigate the immigration process and access basic services. What We Do New Hope for Life works with Francophone Refugees,Asylum Seekers and migrants living away from their homeland, providing support, skills and knowledge to live and prosper in the UK. Our services include English language and IT classes, employment workshops, a women’s support group, a Supplementary schools ,youth and family support services. We also visits individuals and families in detention. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, we promote human rights and aim to relieve poverty. Our mission is to assist Francophone Refugees, Asylum seekers and migrants to successfully integrate and to make a positive contribution to the society through our services. NHL offers a range of volunteering opportunities. Volunteers can work directly with our disadvantaged people at our education projects, the tuition or youth club, gain experience in our offices, help with fundraising, and organise community events or work for our current projects.
