Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland were established on 19 January 1992. The Embassy of Kazakhstan opened in London in February 1996. The Embassy's priorities are to: · enhance and develop the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom; · support two way trade, commerce, professional services and foreign direct investment; · support technology cooperation and exchange of fintech, green tech, Smart City and other life- and planet- improving innovations; · cultivate cultural exchange by facilitating people-to-people ties, cultural diplomacy, and tourism; · provide consular support, as required. The Embassy in London also represents Kazakhstan to the Republics of Ireland and Iceland.
