Filthy Traitors
www.filthytraitors.comFilthy Traitors began as an idea in late 2016 between guitarist/vocalist Chelsea (Dr. Weaver) and drummer Jack Love. Both decided to stick to their roots in punk music, which has driven the direction of the band. Chelsea has a penchant for murder mysteries, and has incorporated these ideas into the lyrics and stories throughout the music of Filthy Traitors. After a few months of writing music and planning, Chelsea and Jack asked multi-instrumentalist TJ Harris to join on bass. Despite his skill as a drummer, guitarist, and vocalist with many previous groups, the bass was yet unexplored territory for him. Relishing the chance to try something new, TJ quickly got up to speed on the music of Filthy Traitors and continues to provide a wealth of experience for the band. Shortly after TJ came on board, Jack pitched the idea of playing lead guitar to Justin Davis. Justin is both a live sound engineer, and an accomplished studio engineer. Usually behind the board at shows, it had been over 10 years since Justin last played live with a band. However, after the first rehearsal everyone knew that Justin was the perfect fit. Filthy Traitors worked hard for the first few months building a great set list of high energy songs, laced with murderous themes. Having played their debut show on July 31st at the Substation in Seattle, Filthy Traitors continue to write new music and build a loyal following within the local scene.
