www.gemmaf.de

The German Mixed Martial Arts Federation (GEMMAF) is a registered non-profit organization driven by the purpose of developing martial arts (MMA) as a widely recognised sport, and ultimately the establishment of MMA as an Olympic sport. Since 2014, the GEMMAF has been a registered MMA association in Germany with partners such as the UFC and their umbrella organisation the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF), the world's largest MMA federation with over 60 national associations. Mixed martial arts is often referred to as the world’s fastest growing sport. The GEMMAF is focused on developing MMA as sport, from the recreational level to the elite level, driving the development of common sets of rules, safety regulations (for example, blood tests at each event, application of the Unified Rules of MMA), structure, mutual exchanges and so forth. The GEMMAF supports the IMMAF in their quest to make MMA an Olympic sport. At this point in time, the GEMMAF currently has nearly 30 sports schools with about 7,500 affiliated members. GEMMAF is a democratic organisation based on the foundation of open, honest and collaborative practices. Our principle is the further development and recognition of the MMA (Mixed Martial Arts), as well as enabling national and international competitions. Our vision is the recognition of mixed martial arts as a sport and the establishment of mixed martial arts as an Olympic sport. Our Goals: 1. Create and enforce uniform regulations 2. Sustainable development of the athletes and the sports 3. Improve the image of the sport 4. Membership of the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB)
