www.kuprkabi.com"Kuprkabi Ceramic Design Studio" and "Kuprkabi Foundation" has been founded in the year 2000 by Vanmala Jain, a Ceramic Designer & an Alumni of National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad. Our mission : # Keeping the oldest craft of pottery alive # Sustainable livelihood creation # Totally handcrafted by artisans trained at KUPRKABI Vanmala has been passionately working towards revival of Ceramic Art and has conducted several design and technical workshops for NGOs and the Government of India. She has taught in institutes like IIT and JJ School of Art in Mumbai, and her work has also been showcased in museums abroad. All her art show sale proceeds go to her NGO, Kuprkabi Foundation, which supports women, artisans and school dropouts from under-privileged sectors of the society by offering them training in ceramic ware and making them financially independent. They also work with craftsperson from different backgrounds who have varied skills in Bamboo work, terracota, cold ceramics, zari-zardozi embroidery, dari weaving etc. 'Kuprkabi' aims to preserve the dying craft, teach the skills and pass this treasure to the coming generation.
