Design Draw Build Inc. is a design-build firm located in Oakland, California, founded by Tyler Kobick, specializing in the design of architecturally unique residential, commercial and pre-fab structures, elements, and custom art/architectural fabrication. As both licensed architects and general contractors with over 20 years of experience, Design Draw Build is a distinct model of vertically integrated, design-oriented, design/build practice. We believe that excellent design is driven by ‘how’ it will be applied in the physical world. Our creative team is well-versed in the personal, political, and commercial dynamics of bringing new architecture into diverse urban environments. We understand every step of the process from the design through the build because we concentrate on inventive process, and often do each piece, every day. There is an economy to this practice – rather than subcontract work to many additional entities with self-interest and different goals, we direct most aspects of our projects in-house, passing huge amounts of communication and admin time savings on to our clients.
