Canadian Institute of Reading Recovery
www.rrcanada.orgThe Canadian Institute of Reading Recovery is responsible for the implementation of Reading Recovery in schools all across Canada. Reading Recovery is an early literacy intervention for children in Grade 1 who are struggling the most to learn to read and write. Children attend a series of individualized lessons for 30 minutes each day with a Reading Recovery trained teacher. After the lessons are complete, most children are reading and writing at Grade level. They maintain this learning throughout their lifetime. Learning to read and write early on changes the trajectory of children's lives and creates possibilities for their futures.
