Velocimetry knowledge portal (http://www.velocimetry.net/index.htm) is an initiative by IIT Madras faculty and alumni who have expertise in various Laser Flow Diagnostic techniques. The lack of a good knowledge bank on these techniques was a cause of concern and this ignited the thoughts towards creating an online portal to provide as much information as possible on these techniques in a consolidated manner. The portal includes Basic Principles, Applications, Discussion forums, Links to ‘Links’ etc. Velocimetry portal hopes to become as the reference centre for all queries related to Laser Flow Diagnostic Techniques for all the students and scholars worldwide.
