JG Neukomm Architecture
www.jgnarch.comJG Neukomm Architecture is a New York-based architectural and interior design firm specializing in luxury private, multi-family, commercial and retail projects. Principal Jean-Gabriel Neukomm's 20+ year career, much of it as co-founder of span architecture, has led him to work collaboratively on a number of high-profile projects for individual clients such as Calvin Klein and hotelier Ian Schrager. More recently, Neukomm has been able to translate his keen eye for detail, cultivated in his work on these luxury residential projects, to large-scale urban projects for major developers such as Greenland USA, F&T Group, the Gotham Organization, and Rockrose, and to an urban-scale shopping arcade on the Las Vegas strip. His rich and sensitive hospitality designs include New York’s exclusive CORE: Club and the downtown neighborhood favorite restaurant Souen. He has worked with retailers such as Calvin Klein Collection, Tiffany & Co., Pringle of Scotland, and Marian Goodman Gallery in locations ranging from New York to Shanghai to Prague. His fashion-oriented work has also led him to several ventures with famed creative director, and editor of Interview Magazine, Fabien Baron, for whom Neukomm designed a 12,000 square foot office (Baron & Baron) as well as his spectacular West Village townhouse residence. JG Neukomm Architecture’s approach relies on developing a solid narrative for each project, asking: what is the site’s history and environment, what is the social context, and who will inhabit the space? The strength of this core conceptualization in turn helps Neukomm work intentionally yet flexibly in large, complex teams in a collaborative and respectful manner. Because of his commitment to design from the very inception of the project through to the final details of construction, Neukomm has been awarded multiple commissions from clients as varied as Fabien Baron, developers Gotham Organization and Greenland USA, and gallerist Marion Goodman.
