ABOUT ROLANDO CHANG BARRERO: Rolando Chang Barrero is an American painter, filmmaker, performance artist, activist, & arts advocate. Resides in the City of West Palm Beach, Florida, USA. where he is the curator of one of South Florida's Best Art Gallery: The Box Gallery. Rolando is a graduate and Alumni of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he received two academic scholarships and graduated with the lauded Ryerson Traveling Fellowship. THE SPACE: The Box Gallery is a 4,000 sq.ft. space created to adjust to the needs of each presentation and program. Within the space a 16' x 8' wall to allow for film screenings, indoor photography, and background for performances. VISION: To create a space for all people to gather in discovery of the many forms of art and art creation, and to join together in an exchange of ideas to enhance our experience of life. EXPERIENCE: Programming at The Box Gallery includes exhibitions, lectures, screening, space rental, internships and other special projects.
