Founded in 2015, MUTEK.JP is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the dissemination, promotion, production and development of emerging forms of digital sound, music and visual creation. Its mandate is to act as a stepping stone to publicize and support the most original and visionary artists in the field, all in a dynamic of initiation, awareness and development of new audiences. With the festival as its centerpiece MUTEK.JP provides a platform that not only showcases emerging Japanese and international talent in the field of digital creativity, but also encourages fruitful exchanges between artists, professionals and the public. As part of the global MUTEK network, which is currently recognized on the international stage as one of the most forward-thinking organizations in the world, celebrating, supporting, and promoting music, sound cultures, and digital creativity since 2015, MUTEK.JP envisions to establish Tokyo as a capital of digital creativity.
