Huxlo is a design studio and platform for innovation. We design great products and manufacture them in the UK using sustainable materials. The Huxlo studio was started in 2016 to challenge and innovate in the architectural sector. The intention was to explore how digital fabrication, modular design and digital twins could be exploited in a commercial setting. This exploration has manifested itself into a compelling business offering comprising of three divisions. The first is a range of Functional Furnishings designed to create well being and empowerment in the home environment. These furnishings are digitally manufactured in the UK from sustainable FSC certified materials and sold through huxlo.co.uk. The second division is a detail design, prototyping and batch production service for the interior design and architectural sectors. The Huxlo studio has attracted clients from major educational establishments and innovative tech companies. The third division is a research and development arm looking at digital twin design systems allowing for custom design of modular products. HuxHaus is the first of these projects, a sustainable modular building system that can be designed and purchased in a web browser, lowering the barrier to entry into construction and empowering the common people.
