Abridge Academy is a social enterprise promoting cultural exchange between the UK and China. We offer opportunities for UK students to visit China for well-funded summer camp and homestay exchange programs, thus developing their employability skills while enabling them to experience Chinese culture first-hand and explore the country. Our programs combine teaching English with fun cultural activities, Chinese classes and trips to local sights. Additionally, participants are provided with a high level of pre-departure support, including full TEFL training. As a social enterprise, we are committed to facilitating greater cultural understanding between our two countries, promoting language learning and supporting the next generation of UK teachers. As part of our social mobility efforts, we also offer an additional scholarship for participants from disadvantaged backgrounds, thus providing more young people with the opportunity to volunteer abroad.
