In September 2019 the Organization was official renamed Spirit of Atlanta Inc., and is the Georgia-based 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation that operates Spirit of Atlanta Drum & Bugle Corps. Spirit of Atlanta Inc. operates not only the World-Class DCI Drum & Bugle Corps, but also a variety of other arts and education-based programs for youth in and around the Atlanta area. Spirit of Atlanta Inc produced Spirit U - an educational summer camp for high-school students, Drums Across America in Atlanta and Valdosta which feature elite DCI corps in competition, Concert in the Park heald each Spring in Midtown Atlanta, The Spirit of Atlanta Hall of Fame Gala, and many others. The organization also partners with other groups to present programs like ATL Lacrosse - an athletic program that impacts underserved youth in the area with healthy athletic activities. Our primary program - Spirit of Atlanta Drum & Bugle Corps - provides youth with opportunities to develop and refine artistic, athletic, performance, and personal skills through positive, high-quality, and challenging arts education programs that emphasize character building, a strong work ethic, teamwork, and the pursuit of performance excellence.
