Literacy Green Bay, Inc.
www.literacygreenbay.orgLiteracy Green Bay was founded in 1981 under our former name of Literacy Council of Brown County in response to a need for tutors to work with newly arrived Southeast Asian refugees. The all-volunteer program was later expanded to include undereducated English speaking adults, as well as students of all ethnicities, and paid staff was hired to provide the level of resources necessary to support the organization's goals. Our mission is to help adults and families acquire the reading, writing, math, English language, computer and workforce skills they need to function effectively as workers and community members.
