The Stanford Center for Health Education (SCHE), born from the Stanford University School of Medicine, accelerates global access to health education by leveraging Stanford University’s experience and expertise in the practice of medicine and digital learning. SCHE supports learners in a wide variety of professional health practices and regions. We work with Stanford faculty members to design and deliver online professional education and custom educational experiences to professionals around the world. Our portfolio includes online graduate certificate programs and professional certificates covering many of the most in-demand health topics in the world today. We also offer custom programs tailored to meet an organization’s specific training needs. In parallel, we offer free health education to the public through our social impact initiative Digital Medic as well as our YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter channels. SCHE supports a more effective and efficient approach to the training of health professionals at Stanford and around the world while empowering the public through access to credible, accessible, and engaging health education. In offering content created by faculty in all seven schools at Stanford University, we aim to increase the global availability of well-trained healthcare professionals, create a more informed public, and improve health outcomes around the world.
