Hickory Museum of Art is the second oldest art museum in North Carolina. The Museum is located in western NC between Charlotte and Asheville, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Museum has nine galleries with approximately 25 exhibitions annually. Housed on The SALT BLOCK in Hickory, the Museum has an American Art Collection of more than 2,000 works and a significant southern contemporary folk art collection of more than 300 pieces. Admission is FREE and open to all.
