CyPellets currently employ more than 45 staff dedicated to collecting, transporting and disposing Polyethylene (PE) film and Polypropylene (PP), PE rigid plastics waste. We process this waste into recycled High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) pellets. CyPellets was formed in 2017, partly as a response to Cyprus’ recycling problems. With 626 kg per person per year, Cyprus has the second highest amount of household waste in the EU. In Cyprus 75% of waste goes to the landfill sites where it is buried. This is much higher than the EU average of 28% leading to Cyprus paying penalties towards the EU. Located in Ayios Silas 3rd Industrial Area of Limassol, CyPellets’ headquarters house the latest European technologies. Our washing line has the ability to shred, wash and dry up to 1,500kg of PE or PP, film or rigid plastics, per hour. Our pelletizing machine receives the dried shreds, melting and morphing them into the final pellet form at a rate of approximately 1,200kg per hour. Our master batch option on the pelletizing machine gives our clients the option of choosing any colour of pellet they desire.
