Research is also required to identify and develop alternatives to the use of non-human primates. BPRC has an active and expanding programme to develop alternatives following the principles of reduction, refinement and replacement. Corporal social responsibility (CSR) has a high priority at BPRC. The BPRC is e.g. certified for responsible environmental policy (ISO 14001/2004) and is international recognized for animal welfare policy (AAALAC).
