www.itba.gov.saIn line with the Kingdom’s aspirations and its endeavour in national transformation towards the realization of the Vision 2030, His Royal Highness King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, custodian of the two Holy Mosques, issued a Royal Decree (No. A/219 in June 2018) to create a Council of Royal Reserves to be established under the Royal Court and under the chairmanship of HRH Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz. The Royal Decree calls for environmental conservation and rehabilitation of both flora and fauna through the establishment of six Royal Reserves around existing protected areas. Imam Turki Bin Abdullah Royal Nature Reserve Development Authority (ITBA) is managing and developing the second largest reserve in KSA under the chairmanship of HRH Prince Turki Bin Mohammad Bin Fahd Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. ITBA is located in the north-eastern part of KSA, with an area of 91,500 km². And it is distinguished by various topographical features. The reserve has rich and unique fauna and flora with more than 60 types of animals and more than 120 types of plants. Also ITBA has rich and strong historical and cultural elements, most of which centre around the Zubaydah trail. Our Vision: A globally recognized eco-tourism reserve inspired by its cultural heritage and pristine nature. Our Mission: Conserve and restore the beauty of the land, integrate local communities, and encourage tourism.
