Our eleven traditional wooden houses on stilts dating from 1956 to 1985 in this “idyllic village” are situated 8 km from the historic and extraordinary site of Angkor, contribute to the preservation of an architectural heritage. By choosing existing Khmer houses to conserve their aged luster, the founders of Sala Lodges allow you to delve into a genuine Cambodian world. Carefully selected from the regions surrounding the town of Siem Reap, the houses have been dismantled and restored at the gates of the Tonle Sap Lake and the temples of Angkor. Behind its stark external appearance, a pure and refined interior is revealed. In addition of the lodging and personalized guest experience, our Chef and his brigade have created dishes from the best of Cambodian cuisine. Each morning they wanders through the local markets to select the best products. Seasonal fruits, vegetables and spices from our garden are to be found at the heart of the dishes.
