In 2020, JBIX has merged into DE-CIX Malaysia as part of our combined effort to co-develop the Malaysia and Singapore market. Initially started as Johor Bahru Internet Exchange, JBIX's hub is located in Johor Bahru, the southern-most city of the Peninsular Malaysia. The Open DC datacentre JB1 and JB2 (where DE-CIX/JBIX's two nodes are hosted) is located at Menara MSC Cyberport, a building 2KM away from the causeway linking Singapore and Malaysia. DECIX-JBIX is an Award-winning, open, carrier-neutral Internet Exchange Point operating on the DE-CIX's Apollon software-defined networking platform.
