The Accessible Justice Project

www.accessiblejustice.org.au

The Accessible Justice Project is a collaboration between the University of Adelaide and LK, set up to assist members of our community who do not qualify for legal aid but cannot afford a private lawyer. Our team consists of qualified lawyers who are completing their Master of Laws at the University. They are supervised by senior lawyers from LK. We believe all Australians should have access to affordable legal solutions to real-life problems. The firm is a registered charity and does not seek to make any profit. It is wholly focused on pursuing the best, most affordable solutions for its clients. Our approach is simple – we listen and help our clients tell their story. We break down the problem they are dealing with and explain their legal rights and options. If we can help, we will set out the steps to take and how much each will cost. We understand the pressure and anxiety caused by disputes and want to alleviate this as much as possible. We won’t try to baffle with legal speak or waste anyone’s time. We assist with disputes involving other people, companies or government authorities. These disputes arise from everyday life and may involve: - recovering money; - issues related to home or property; - contested wills and estates; - breach of legal agreements; or - loss caused by someone’s negligence or wrongdoing. We do not advise on criminal, personal injury or family law matters. If we can’t assist directly, we will suggest other resources that may help. Please get in touch if you have a legal problem that you need help with or have a client that may benefit from our assistance.
