The aim of BARA (British Automation & Robot Association) is to promote the use of; and assist in the development of Industrial Robots and Automation in British industry, as well as having a presence overseas at the International Federation of Robotics In 2009, BARA joined forces with the PPMA (Processing & Packaging Machinery Association). The PPMA Group also comprises UKIVA (UK Industrial Vision Association), which provides strong support to assist the growth of the automation sector in the UK.
