Today, billions of people across the globe suffer from a broad range of debilitating injury and disease, with treatments either inaccessible, cost prohibitive, or non-existent. Beyond the devastating financial costs, developing solutions for global health issues are enormously time consuming; with an average of 15 years of research needed to bring an innovative medical solution to market.
