The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS; Konrad Adenauer Foundation) is a German political foundation that is politically associated with but legally and financially independent of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU). In Canada, we seek to intensify political cooperation between Germany and Canada to strengthen transatlantic relations and to address common challenges of global nature. In October 2019, we opened our first office in Ottawa that regularly organizes public events, such as conferences, podium discussions and webinars, and publishes short videos and electronic publications throughout the year.
