NomadPower reinvents the temperature-sensitive road transport.The company is the international service for the supply of electricity to temperature-sensitive road transport. It places electricity connection points at logistic centers, cold stores, parks and rest areas along the major European transportation routes. It won the Erasmus Energy Business Award in recognition of excellence in an innovative and sustainable energy concept or business model that contributes to improving the lives people, business success, or the sustainability of the planet. Thanks to NomadPower facilities trucks can save CO2, costs and prevent noise pollution. Trucks can activate these connection points by mobile phone in order to get power for their reefers and onboard cooling units to cool (or heat) their load. When a truck arrives at a specific NomadPower electricity connection point throughout Europe, the driver plugs-in a cable from the truck / cooling unit to the electricity connection point and activates that connection point by mobile phone (by phone, SMS) or via NomadPower App. (Download the amazing NomadPower App for iPhone and Android). NomadPower facilities are already available in the Netherlands and in Belgium (under construction in Italy and in France). We want to ensure a sustainable development for the future generation, our efforts aim to reduce the environmental impact of the European road transport. To play a role in this, our objective is to have more than 5,000 NomadPower facilities throughout Europe by 2020.
