Care of Creation Inc.
www.careofcreation.netCare of Creation works with evangelical Christians to inspire organizations, congregations, and individuals to actively care for all of creation. www.careofcreation.net Organizational Overview Care of Creation was born in 2005 out of a need for an organization that directly combined "evangelical" and "environmental". We are guided by three main principles: “Love God, Love God’s People, and Love God’s World” and firmly believe that all Christians have a role to play in environmental stewardship because God is the Creator, who placed people in the world to take care of it. Our passion comes from our belief that the Bible has much to say about how Christ-followers ought to live in relation to the rest of God’s creation: firstly, that the world God made is good (Genesis 1); secondly, that it belongs to Him (Psalm 24:1); thirdly, that our sin has affected the entire world (Genesis 3, Romans 8:18-22); finally, that Jesus as Creator and Savior paid the penalty for sin and thus set the stage for redemption that radiates throughout creation (Colossians 1:15-20). To put it another way, environmental problems are sin problems; the only hope of solving environmental issues is through the Church, the followers of Jesus Christ. We frequently consult with mission groups, churches and other organizations on how to incorporate creation care as part of a balanced and long-term mission strategy. We also offer leadership training to church leaders. Our staff include experienced public speakers who are passionate about integrating faith and environmental justice. Our partners include major evangelical NGOs like The Lausanne Movement, the Evangelical Environmental Network, and conservation organizations like A Rocha.
