HYPERMAG - Center for Hyperpolarization in Magnetic Resonance
www.hypermag.dtu.dkWelcome to the LinkedIn page of Center for Hyperpolarization in Magnetic Resonance (HYPERMAG). Follow us to receive news about our research activities, results, job openings, events etc. HYPERMAG is a center of Excellence committed to addressing basic scientific questions of hyperpolarization, a method to dramatically increase the sensitivity of the Magnetic Resonance signal. HYPERMAG will provide a theoretical and experimental basis for achieving and harnessing a 20,000-fold signal enhancement, and optimal ways of extracting information and data that enable new and significant applications in medicine, biology and chemistry. Hyperpolarized Magnetic Resonance is a unique method to provide novel functional and metabolic data. It has a large potential in medical imaging, as a quick method for providing earlier and more accurate diagnosis, staging and monitoring of progression and response to eg. cancer treatment. And an equally large potential for bringing forward valuable new knowledge on the inner workings of living cells, as a non-invasive profiling of metabolism and metabolic interplay for the benefit of eg. cause-effect studies in pharmaceutical or nutrition research. HYPERMAG was established in July 2015 and is funded by Danish National Research Foundation. Center Leader is Professor Jan Ardenkjær-Larsen, inventor of the hyperpolarization method Dissolution Dynamic Nuclear Polarization. More information on center mission and researchers at our website http://www.hypermag.dtu.dk/. We reserve the right to delete comments that are offensive, anonymous, off-topic or advertisements.
