Root Change is a DC-based non-profit founded to test alternative approaches to development that put more power in the hands of local actors. Since 2009, we've been working with INGOs, community-based organizations, donor agencies, movements, and more as a design, implementing, and learning partner. We specialize in innovative approaches to systems strengthening, adaptive management, and local capacity development. Recently, our programs have included social network analysis in Kenya, social labs for social accountability in Malawi, lean experimentation for local problem solving in Colombia, and Collective Impact for advocacy in Nigeria.
