Imagine a place where individuals and their families with Down syndrome, Autism, PTSD, any person battling a life threatening disease and the hearing, visually, mentally and physically impaired, can go and create memories without limitations. In February 2016, the vision of creating the newest and most innovative, fully accessible amusement park and greenhouse, complete with rides and attractions, splash pads, a playground, an arcade and fishing wharf, sensory buildings and gardens, restaurants and gift shops! Spirit of Discovery Park’s vision: Joy for EVERY body. Our Epcot-like campus will allow easier travel as it resides in the Midwest, bordered by 8 states, within an 8 hours of us. It will allow memories to be made and provide job opportunities for those with special needs and our Veterans, acclimating back into civilian life. Our main goal is to exceed the priorities of most amusement parks by creating full accessibility and independence, exceeding ADA compliances, through the provisions of an active environment met by our attractions and offered programs.
