Distinct Resources Technology (Distinct) is a privately held oil and gas technology company engaged in the development of technologies to enhance the production of oil. Distinct is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and licences an innovative heavy oil production system called SuperSump that is protected under patent by C-FER Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Alberta Innovates. Distinct is initially targeting heavy oil production in the Heavy Oil Belt of the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin by employing a unique licensed technology, SuperSump, for production. The SuperSump system enhances Cold Heavy Oil Production with Sand (CHOPS) to increase recovery and lower operating costs to improve financial returns, while operating with a smaller environmental footprint.
