Founded in 1992, Public Allies is a nonprofit organization with 24 sites nationwide, where we operate our signature AmeriCorps leadership and apprenticeship program. We also advocate and invest in our alumni network numbering in the thousands and are a catalyst for collaboration among our several hundred nonprofit partners. Public Allies Arizona is an intense 10-month apprenticeship program designed to develop the next generation of civic leaders. We are seeking dedicated, service-minded people to become Public Allies and begin a 10-month apprenticeship in nonprofit organizations in the Phoenix and Tucson areas annually. Based in 23 cities across the country, Public Allies is a social justice organization committed to creating a just and equitable society and the diverse leadership to sustain it. Benefits: Exposure to local issues and the nonprofit sector 10-month full time apprenticeship to gain real work experience at a reputable community organization $1,375/month (gross) stipend with 12 personal days/holidays off from work Health care benefits, child care stipend (if eligible), and student loan deferment for qualified federal student loans while in the program Individual and peer-to-peer coaching to enhance your personal and professional capacity to do community change work $5,920 Segal AmeriCorps Education Award To Apply: Fill out our online application at the Public Allies national website by accessing the link below.
