The South Gwinnett Cluster motto is “Working Together, Winning Together PreK-12”, they are hyper-focused on vertical alignment especially in reading, mathematics, and computer science, ensuring South Gwinnett’s overall graduation rate continues to increase. Currently more than 82 percent of its senior class plan to continue their education at the next level. The school continues to build its College and Career Academies, providing students the opportunity to learn more about their interests and be better prepared for the future. For example, the participation of students from the Business Administration and Entrepreneurship Academy in the Snellville Entrepreneurship Council and the Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce Shark Tank event allows students to share their ideas as they learn about the world of business. In addition, the successful partnership launch with 3DE/Junior Achievement affords South students multiple opportunities to apply academic concepts towards authentic “challenges” faced by companies or organizations. South Gwinnett High’s outstanding Army JROTC program continues to earn awards and its cadets are routinely recognized for their leadership and achievements.
