ROLF Spectacles developed a new wooden hinge as well as a special lens-glazing system. The ROLF Spectacles eyewear has no screws or metal, is easy-care and main-tenance-free, extremely light, antistatic and suitable for allergy sufferers. ROLF Spectacles asserts a claim to develop and produce everything in-house and in a sustainable manner - from the eyewear frames and eyewear-cases to the exhibition-stands and eyewear-sample-trays. The ROLF Spectacles wooden eyewear, stone eyewear and horn eyewear have already been awarded with over 40 design awards in 9 countries - including the Silmo d'Or (2009, 2010, 2018), the Red Dot Design Award (2012, 2014), the German Design Award 2015 and the iF Design Award 2015 to name just a few.
