Journey of Yoga

www.journeyofyoga.com

Journey of Yoga LLC was founded by Maggie Durbas in 2004 to inspire health and happiness through the practice of yoga. Maggie, E-RYT 500, AYS, is also a certified Reiki Master. Her classes are inspired by her training in Ashtanga and Iyengar style yoga…flowing with the breath to build heat in the body and then holding postures with a focus on alignment and the multiple dimensions of the body. She is a compassionate and nurturing teacher who creates intelligently sequenced flowing classes that are challenging, safe, fun, engaging, supportive, and spiritual. Maggie’s holistic, supportive, and light-hearted approach will give you a great workout and still leave you feeling relaxed and renewed. Her teaching style has been influenced by numerous teachers in several types of yoga, so her style is open and never dogmatic. She completed her 200-hour teacher training by studying Embodyoga with Patty Townsend at Yoga Center Amherst. She also completed a 500-hour teacher training program inspired by Rod Stryker’s ParaYoga with Sue Neufeld and Kathryn Templeton, both certified ParaYoga teachers. She recently received her Ayurvedic certification from Kathryn Templeton at the Himalayan Institute.
