International Montessori School
www.imsnc.orgAt International Montessori School, our mission is to foster curious and confident students who embrace diversity and have a positive impact in the world. We are a wonderful, diverse community where teachers and families of many cultures, languages, and backgrounds come together in a supportive and engaging learning community. Our non-profit, independent school is located in central North Carolina approximately 10 minutes south of Duke University and fifteen minutes north of the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill at the intersection of 751/Academy Road and 15-501 Business. Serving children ages 2 to 12 through a language immersion Montessori approach, our students spend their school day in class in either Spanish, French, or Mandarin Chinese learning through a very student-centered, developmentally aligned approach. Being part of IMS means having the opportunity to interact with a group of very positive people from around the world, hearing different languages throughout the day, and supporting young children as they uncover their potential, become bilingual and bicultural, and develop into competent, compassionate, and curious global citizens.
