Care for Pastors
www.careforpastors.orgFounded in 2004, Care for Pastors is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-denominational Christian ministry dedicated to providing resources of care and counseling to pastors, their families and the churches they serve. Pastors have many responsibilities, and with those responsibilities come many challenges. Often, pastors lack the relational support needed to overcome these challenges, which leaves them vulnerable to a wide variety of issues they cannot cope with on their own. Issues such as Empathy Fatigue, Marital Challenges and Church Conflict are driving many pastoral families to the brink of quitting ministry. As a result, hundreds of pastoral families are walking away from ministry every single month. That means hundreds of churches will be without a shepherd leader and hundreds of communities will lose a positive, uniting influence for the Gospel. In order to finish well, pastors need a safe place that will be non-judgmental, and a place that will provide outside encouragement, counsel and accountability. This will enable them to live and serve out of spiritual, emotional and relational health and well-being. Our Mission at Care for Pastors is to uphold pastoral families in ministry by providing them the safest place to turn, an ongoing relationship of encouragement and counsel, and resources that ignite growth in the pastor’s family, church and community. In fulfilling our Mission we will be able to achieve our Vision, which is to see every pastoral family persevering in ministry, developing a healthy church and leading in community transformation.
