robotics.utoronto.caThe University of Toronto Robotics Institute is home to the largest and most diversified robotics research program in Canada. We unite, grow, and catalyze collaborations among the many exceptional robotics research clusters at the University. Serving as the headquarters for robotics collaboration at U of T, we unite leading robotics experts from across the University around three research pillars: Autonomous field robotics Healthcare robotics Advanced manufacturing Our researchers have their academic homes in the following Departments and Institutes: The Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering (MIE) University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies (UTIAS) Institute for Biomaterials & Biomedical Engineering (BME) Department of Computer Science (CS) Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences at University of Toronto Mississauga (MCS) Toronto Rehabilitation Institute John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design Our faculty members include Canada Research Chairs in robotics, mechatronics, machine learning, and image analysis. Located on the 5th floor of the Myhal Centre for Engineering Innovation & Entrepreneurship at 55 St. George Street in the heart of Ontario’s innovation supercorridor in downtown Toronto, the Robotics Institute features the Norris Walker 5T7 Robotics Laboratory with a two-storey drone atrium, an indoor mobile robot garage, exhibition space, teaching labs, access to state-of-the-art design and fabrication studios, space for hosting visitors and industry collaborators, and rooms to support thesis work, clubs and capstone projects.
