Storytelling is a powerful way for people and ideas to connect. SPF is always seeking people needing effective messaging tools for their particular audience. David Priest and Brenda Rundback formed Shadow Play Films, Inc. in 1993 and have been producing documentaries of all sizes, short films, plus videos for marketing and public relations, educational and training, manufacturing, non-profits, arts, and other industries since. Projects are shot, produced and distributed nationally, internationally as well as locally. SPF approaches all production with creativity, ingenuity and entertainment. As classic film historians with current tools, SPF uses a balance of experience and knowledge to create videos that engage the viewers. Though professional, high quality equipment is important, nothing is more important than careful listening and exceptional production skills to craft a quality story. Hundreds of broadcast shows have provided opportunities to film historic recreation scenes from President Lincoln to Otzi the Iceman to King Tut to Dead Sea Scrolls, time travel with the crew of the USS Eldridge in WWII, Butch Cassidy's failed attempt to rob a train in 1886, to standing beside survivors and heroes of the terrorist attacks of 9/11. Based in Colorado, SPF has found nearby locations to stand in for many areas around the world in recreations; however, the productions have also provided travel to shoot on real locations throughout the US and the world. National, network prime-time broadcast credits include: 52 one-hour episodes of "Encounters with the Unexplained," along with 25 one and two-hour specials such as: Breaking the DaVinci Code; Portrait of Courage; Heroes Among Us, Miracles Around Us. Plus 32 additional broadcast shows with other producers including the documentary Change the Heart, Change the World.
