The business is now dissolved. Alldays, whose stores were spread across the UK with particular strength in Scotland and the south-east of England, expanded rapidly in the late 1990s. The chain effectively put itself up for sale in June 2002, when it reported an interim pre-tax loss of £4.6m, weighed down by its rising interest bill. The Coop acquired Alldays core business in October 2002.
