The Institute of Applied Technology (IAT) is a new tertiary education offering from the NSW Government. IAT has partnered with universities and industry to provide a revolutionary new way to learn, bringing the latest thinking and trends to life. From microskills to degrees, our blended approach empowers students through flexible pathways and credible outcomes, strengthening capability and furthering careers. The first stand-alone digital campus will open at Meadowbank with five-to-six week courses available in cybersecurity, big data, artificial intelligence and cloud computing. Later in 2023, a construction institute of applied technology will open at Kingswood with the mission of upskilling construction workers for building, tech-enhanced smart cities and major infrastructure projects. Foundation partners include: Microsoft, University of Technology Sydney, TAFE NSW, Macquarie University, CPB Contractors and Western Sydney University.
